Duwamish Alive Spring Planting Event!

April 22, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

On April 22, 10am to 2pm, join Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition/TAG, EarthCorps Sound Stewards, and Puget Soundkeeperas we keep important habitat and public access space along the Duwamish River safe and beautiful!

Volunteer work will be happening on land and on the water! And as a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to do both! Terminal 107 or T-107 Park, managed by the Port of Seattle, is an important historical site originally built as a construction site for a marine terminal that overlooks the original bends of the Duwamish River and serves as a place where salmon and other wildlife can rest, feed, and escape from predators. On land, volunteers will work with Sound Stewards and DRCC/TAG to weed, mulch, pick up litter and keep this site healthy and vital! On the water, join Puget Soundkeeper and Alki Kayak Tours in a kayak to help remove litter from the banks of our river. The kayaks will launch from the T-107 boat launch. (*Minimum age for kayaks is 13 years old)
